Where Artists Gather - And Art Breaks
Comment
Mike...I can honestly say that I've never been quite so moved by a 'conceptual visual arts' work before now.
The story begins (much as life does) with a choc-box image, depicting the joy & wonderment of this, our 'garden' of life. It seems to me, you've identified the hopes, dreams, anxiety & fears which represent life's journey, for so many. Few 'collage artists' wouldn't applaud, your gift for cutting & splicing images with such poetic narrative, so carefully considered, Mike.
Alas, I have 'zero' I.T.skills, which could affect my subjective opinion. However, as a painter, my impressions are, that almost every single 'slide' has the ability to stand alone, if it were a collage or painting.... but then we wouldn't see the 'story' unfold, would we.
For me, the finale said it all...we continue to wait/hope, for change in our social perspectives/Spring.
If this work isn't considered worthy of exhibit in some 'Visual Arts' venue....then I'll select a hat to eat, Mike!
