Where Artists Gather - And Art Breaks
I mean, it's like the other kinds of art have gotten much less press, sunk into the shadows, so that conceptual projects which are more theatre than art, can be in the spotlight. And so much of the…Continue

We're living in a time of much trickery and deception, on both a societal and personal level. We must learn to see through these deceptions, or else we will waste our time and energy pursuing illusory objects. Many people already have, and it's a tragedy.

You wanted to know how I got such a realistic effect, being, basically, self-taught - it is my nature, for one thing. All my life I have seen the small detail rather than the large picture (could read figures on a watch band that others thought was a line), and my early work was in a bank where every penny (as it was in those days) had to be accounted for, then mid life, I became an accountant where one had to be exact. But apart from that, I do use relatively small brushes, and lightly, rather than a heavy hand. Does that explain it? Betty
