Hello Karen

I was not sure what I said that prompted your response, however, I have never had emotional trauma like yours. I do know people who have had and I sort of have a notion on the mechanics of it, yet I am no psychiatrist/analyst.

I have had deep experiences of a separation of my consciousness and my body working on auto-pilot. I know, for myself, that my body has its own 'mind' and I have mine. In a sense the brain is a coexistence space for them to harmonise. So often one makes a decision to protect the other. Maybe for better, maybe for worst!?

The soul I find a little more different than that. I explain it to myself as the cry for witness, a realisation that alone is an option, yet an option away from the collective sense human kind has observed, including being together to do it!
Its interesting to imagine. Einsteins lead up work on relativity is interesting.
He imagines as he looks into a looking glass travelling at the speed of light.
When he reaches that speed he looks once more at the looking glass. Nothing. There is nothing as to travel at this speed no light is able to reflect from his face. So there is no reflection. One simply disappears. Odd we can not see light, yet only its reflections!

My own thoughts are that we live entirely within a spectrum of colour. We can not go outside of that unless we yield to a different form, one to which even we can not translate back to this existence. So the soul for me is our collective existence within this spectrum. Yet I also have notions that another existence is available, yet one has to have transcended the physical body to re-attain it. It's the place beyond time!

I have a series of works which explores thoughts around these thoughts of time space and soul.

My empathy on your separation from your partner!

All the best
Michael
