Yep, been there too! I missed my music most! live music. I was addicted and had alot of friends that played all around Los Angeles (some still do), but when the kids came, all that got really really reduced. As for film thank god there are other avenues to keep up with that...online, DVD, independent cinemas (we've got one in Claremont), and thankfully my youngest is now 10, with the oldest being 18. More freedom again! There is a charm to some of the children's films..mostly some of the cartoons on TV (not all) but some are just amazing and so funny. Seen Chowder?

That's Jane. She had a show at the Islip Musuem, another at Guild Hall and is also part of Pfizer's Corporate Art Collection and much more. We studied art together in France under a student of Hans Hoffmans.
You can find out more about her at janemartinarisy.com

My hubby is Korean whose mother was born and raised in Japan, so I've been exposed to alot of japanese culture which has turned me on to Japanese art, hence cinema too.

Um...I wouldn't say connoisseur...I just like something from each of them...My brother and I took in alot of cinema at the Lamemelle back in our high school, college days and now and again I search out cool things with my husband, he's an artist also. Are you into film?

Rebecca Stevenson-Eyes for Detail

After being astounded by her sculptures in January, we got in contact with Rebecca and met her at her studio. On arrival, we foundered over the strong perfume of these particular bouquets but Rebecca has clearly built her tolerance against resin fumes over the last 10 years. It’s taken her that long to evolve her [...]

b-Loud: Jasmine Ronel: Paint with Passion

Israel-based Jasmine has created a diverse body of work incorporating photography, printing, painting and drawing, using a variety of media. The work has a graphical influence but her techniques and processes give each image a gripping tactility. The subjects are always brewed in a mass of worked textures, layers, tender colour and present emotion. Her [...]

Draw then share with the world: The iPad is a new landscape for artists

The iPad brings portable potential to the artist’s toolbox. Will it plunder the ways we communicate or change how we create and share art? Twitter has proved the efficiency of miniature messaging. Maybe the iPad could jolt a new host of image based chatter. A sketchbook for a few, I doubt it. They’re being pre-ordered in America at [...]
