- About Me:
- Born in Chicago. Took to the pencil when I was a itty-bitty carbon life form. I have no choice in arting. It's something I must do. Live with a 15 year old cat named Ch'i.
- About My Art:
- I've always considered myself as one who draws, no matter the media I use.
An obsession with line, colour, light, and the quiet simplicity of their subtleties is what drives my arting. I search for the perfect surface and the perfect mark to accomplish it. Layering of colours and marks enable the surface to emerge as a living thing. Simply said: I make marks.
- Studied? Exhibitions?
- Studied painting & drawing for 5 years at Harper College (a 2 year school). Affiliated with Murphy Hill Gallery in Chicago. Next scheduled exhibition in April 2010.
- Favorite Music:
- My tastes in music are expansive. From Chinese erhu to Osamu Kitajima. Perry Como to the Sex Pistols. Stravinsky to Lene Lovich. Joan Baez to Trio.
- Favorite Films:
- Chinese historical epics & wire-fu. Marx Brothers & Japanese Pulp.
- Favorite Artists:
- Alberto Giacometti, Hung Liu, Otto Mueller. Rembrandt. Picasso.
