Prague is a lovely European city - not too big or small. When you go, find J. Lennon's Wall and bring a camera, you'll have a hey day taking pics of it. About your self portraits - I don't know if it's the colour, lighting or what, but they somehow remind me of Rembrandt's self portraits. I like the lack of 'realistic' representation. They're not about what you look like (this always changes anyway), they're about who you are (and this always changes too). They bring into question what a self portrait is supposed to do. Imagine making one a day for a whole year - something like a pictorial diary. Something to ponder... thanx for your comments btw...

btw - I checked out your work - your self portraits are pretty intense. It's like you make portraits of yourself inside out - v. cool.

A Day In The Life At Larkhall
It has been one year since leaving Reuben's house, so many things have changed it's hard to grasp. Although it would be hard to compare anything to life in France in 2006, indeed working with Bruno Tocanne was a life changing experience, living with Reuben was a very special time. "I was recently asked to write a description for a small series of paintings I have made for the British Art Academy called "4 Day Fast To Stop War"
In general I don't like writing about individual paintings.
So I won't.
What I think is pertinent. Also severely overdue. Is a review as to why there is a war in Iraq. I remember following it very closely in 2003 and 2004 in all of the newspapers in Toronto.… Continue
