"Best film genre has to be Horror. Not the horror porn they make now like Hostel and Saw but real horror. The Cheesy Hammer Horror of the seventies and the Psychological horror of Shock Corridor or the original Last House On The Left. Horror has so…"
Love to read - mainly Stephen King, True Crime, History and Ancient HIstory.
Have been classed as disabled for close on ten years now as i suffer from chronic pain disorder and need crutches to walk. That's why i took up painting a little over a six months ago to pass the time and relax.
A big fan of cycling for many years, visited Paris this year for the Final stage of Tour De France. Also visit London for Tour of Britain each year.
About My Art:
Not very good but it relaxes me and helps pass away the hours. As my hands are affected by chronic pain sometimes the lines are not straight or paint shall be spilled - mostly when i drop the brush - [ i therefore do my best to incorporate it into the picture]. I have never had lessons or learnt to draw properly. I suppose i should get around to it. I just have these ideas in my head and need to put them on paper or canvas.
I do not feel the need for my paintings to be special or even good, i find it relaxing to do and once it is over i put them away and begin on something new.
A few people claim to like them, some say they are nothing but colours. I say they are a way to exersize the fingers and help me to relax.
I honestly have no idea how they would be descibed.
I also took up photography as a hobby a couple of years ago. I have photos too numerous to mention of many subjects and places. I now have to think of a way to combine the two, though i do not wish to paint a mirror image of the photograph. I am thinking of ways to paint my own interpretations of the pictures i have taken. Still working on it though. Still thinking.
