Thanks. The original shot was taken through a 100 inch refractor telescope around 1893 in England. I borrowed the original glass slides from the Scottish Astronomical Society and copied them with a slide duplicator which allows you to remix the prim…

I grew up in Edinburgh appreciating some very fine architecture and I love black and white film (which I use and develop a lot). Nice building and composition.

Profile Information

About Me:
Hi, I'm a self learned filmmaker, photographer and poet.
I've been creatively active online for around 9 years and have been making films for myself and others about a myriad of subjects. I work as a freelancer and I'm based in Finland. I'm originally Scottish but have lived abroad in Australia, Norway and Finland for almost 10 years.
About My Art:
I enjoy storytelling with images and orally mostly but from page to stage has also worked for me.
I have written, directed and produced theatre sucessfully for the Edinburgh Fringe festivals (96,97).
My photography has covered everything from sustainable development in communities around Scotland to killer whales inside Arctic Norway.
I have also written, filmed and edited many documentaries and infomercials about social injustices to corporate films.
I was recently used as a voice over artist for so I am also pursuing more work in that direction on top of filming promotional vids for companies and bands.
I love stop motion animation and how easy it is to make these days compared to 20 years ago.
My favourite poet is a Scot called Norman McCaig who wrote observational style. I stick to lyrical poetry because it flows more naturally for me.
Favorite Music:
There's too many choices in here for me, but anything that I don't need to concentrate too hard on listening to whilst I'm working. Electronica, D n' B, Punk, Ska, Rap, Hip n Trip-hop stuff like that. I enjoy rock and other genres when the time suits.
Favorite Films:
Natural Born Killers, Eden Lake, Sin City...I feel like a kid in a sweetshop but many Michael Moore, Oliver Stone, Kubrick and other geniuses make it too difficult to be specific on a list.
Favorite Artists:
Da Vinci, The Egyptian architect who designed the pyramids...again too many to list

Hi Ian
No tricks, just light and a everyday view through a obscured bathroom window on the wall opposite, which is constantly changing according to the light. I am always amazed how beauty and inspiration can be found in the mundane.

And thank you very much for your comments and for your invitation.
