Painting is like learning a dance routine. You have to relax and dance to the music. If you concentrate too much on the steps you end up dancing like a c*+%".

A group for UK artists

Hi everyone, I've made a group for artists in the UK to discuss exhibitions etc and perhaps do a bit of networking.

http://www.b-uncut.net/group/anyukartists

It'd be good to talk about recent shows or editorials and such.

People from outside the UK are, of course, free to join too!

hi greg

thanks for the submission . Yes I think we would need some words. To credit the artist and to explain a bit the movement. Also a zippy title why we are linking the three images together. etc. And we will certainly credit your piece and link you back as a guest blogger to your own blog.

i get your appreciation of Coley and you could bring in some of your work as well. Nelson is a really interesting artist. Difficult to show his work with a photo though but it has so much to say. Either would be worthwhile.

It's interesting how people reacted so differently, In my view it shows how words can be so transient, and vulnerable in a way, in a sense that they can be erased or changed into another word of the same letters. Demonstrated perfectly by the use of the shaped balloons, their motion shifting their position, and then the release dissipating their existence. Great concept. :-)

Interesting work Greg, great to see how people interact with your art and it's, and their, environment. What reaction did you get from people to your art, and it's concept?

A piece on an interesting show you saw or project your working on. I actually like the way you just put up photos of great pieces an artists name. For instance the Mirza piece and perhaps where we cold see it. Let the viewer live with their impressions. Suggest some stuff that you'd like to do and we'll go from there

you should put up a photo on your group . You can use one of the balloon letter pieces. A bit of brilliance there. Like My God too.

Crowdsourcing Art | Neon Burns

Crowdsourcing art is just what we do. This week we have the wonderful Debra D’Breau to showcase. Her digitally enhanced art is beguilingly brash & bold. Her confidence in lustrous form erupts in a high-octane contrast. Each image whips viewers in the gut and her powerful pictures leave a long-lasting sensory hit. She is a [...]
