About Me:
I am an ageing nerd, passionate about cinema, comics and popular culture in general. When not indulging these, I smoke, eat and sleep in that order.
About My Art:
It is firmly based in drawing, often though not exclusively figurative and heavily influenced by great graphic artists of the past, namely, Hokusai, Yoshitoshi and Gustave Dore. Most recently jidai-geki and chanbera cinema of the 1960s have been my go-to source of inspiration.

Folk, Blues and Scandinavian extreme metal.

Throne of Blood, Yojimbo, Zatoichi series, 2001, The Big Lebowski, Moon and many, many more.

Kuniyoshi, Hokusai, Kurosawa, Kobayashi, Kubrick, Kiefer...

I totally will! My husband is Korean & his family raised in Japan, so he may be familiar with this, not sure. Sounds Japanese. Thx!! Ciao Xtina (kind of like a Bit.ly for names). my friends have been shortening my name when texting lately. Not sure if they R goofing on me what but it's easier!!

I really like the one where you have the man looking down in the foreground and someone looking on that is sort of in back of him. It looks like an asian styled piece. a rectangular work.
