Where Artists Gather - And Art Breaks

Philip Letts

Buying & Selling Art @ b-uncut.com

We have noticed that informal buying and selling of artworks is going on between artists at b-uncut.com. This is not surprising as there is a long tradition of artists using their 'eye' and relationships with other artists to build valuable personal collections. In fact the art collection built through buying and bartering artworks with fellow artists often formed the 'pension' for professional artists and sometimes created considerable personal wealth.

We welcome it here and many of you have asked if you could display/indicate your prices at b-uncut. There are three ways you can do this. Promote a special artwork by writing a blog on it, including price and photograph. Add prices (as well as description and dimension) of artworks as you load them at the 'Photos' section or indicate the general price range for your artworks in the new 'About My Art' section of your personal profile.

And this is an opportunity to develop your personal profile and artwork presentation and descriptions at b-uncut in advance of us inviting some art historians and critics to join b-uncut.com in the coming months. Providing constructive and informed perspectives and advice for us all.
