Where Artists Gather - And Art Breaks

Does anyone have any helpful suggestions for doing online exhibits that attract as wide an audience as possible.  I have an great opportunity in May 2010 to curate a huge collaborative installation and would like to show the contributions on-line as well.  The actual installation will be showing in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  I'll be posting a call for art in the next week or so.
