the big egg hunt

2012 sees the launch of The Big Egg Hunt, and artists including Vivienne Westwood, Marc Quinn, Zandra Rhodes, Polly Morgan, Diane von Furstenburg, Giles Deacon, Nicky Haslam, Sophie Dahl and Rob Ryan are all designing eggs for the occasion. Set to follow in the footsteps of the Elephant Parade, 200 fibreglass eggs (measuring at two and a half feet each) baring unique designs are being hidden around London from Shrove Tuesday, February 21. The eggs are then being auctioned off with proceeds going to Elephant Family and Action for Children. The initiative is being sponsored by Fabergé.
