REMO BIANCO. ARCHITECT OF SURPRISES

Remo Bianco (1922 – 1988) perfectly fits in the stimulating cultural context which animated the city of Milan in the fifties and sixties: Lucio Fontana’s and Piero Manzoni’s radical researches, Yves Klein’s monochromatic paintings, Pierre Restany’s reflections, the first germs of informal, conceptual and spatial art; these were all stimuli that Bianco was able to gather, sometimes he even anticipated them, and he always transformed them into something personal and heretical.
This exhibition, which will take place at the MACA – Museum of Contemporary Art of Acri (CS), Italy, from November 22nd 2009 to February 15th 2010, will articulate itself around five fundamentals stages of the artist’s activity: the 3Ds, the Collages, the Tableaux dorés, the Impressions, and the Elementary art. These are five of his most meaningful researches and they are a perfect testimony of the originality of this «architect of surprises».
